The bioclimatic pergola is an innovation in architectural systems. It features an innovative rotating louver system, with movable horizontal blades that allow the system in a closed position to provide waterproofing and protection from weather conditions.

The design of the blades in combination with the special collector around the perimeter of the horizontal beams of the system, allows the water to drain inside the vertical column and finally to exit at the base of the system outside the covered surface.

The purpose of the system is to ensure thermal and visual comfort conditions through the use of passive cooling, heating and lighting systems. By adjusting the inclination of the blades, it achieves regulation of the level of light and ventilation of the space according to the needs of the user.

The bioclimatic design also protects against rainwater and snow, allowing the use of the outdoor space throughout the year.

The system can cover large surfaces, protecting against rain and avoiding overflow in the gutters, without losing any of its additional functions.

The profile of the blades retains water drops, while it is designed to make cleaning extremely easy

For direct contact with the external environment, EUROPA PERGOLA Bioclimatic is combined with perimeter sunshades (fixed or sliding), offering protection from the sun and creating an atmosphere of combining natural light with shading over the entire surface.

The perimeter sunshades cover the sides of the sun's rays, without losing any contact with the external environment and natural light on the rest of the perimeter.

The typology has an infrastructure for a hidden vertical electric screen or shade cloth.

The construction can be free-standing or in contact with the masonry.
